Current Teaching

  • Research focus includes:
    • Sexual rehabilitation of patients following radical prostatectomy
    • Testosterone replacement in aging men
    • Active Surveillance as a treatment option for men diagnosed with low risk prostate cancer
    • Development of decision aids to support treatment decision making in uncertain medical conditions
    • Identification of factors influencing individual's participation in clinical trials
    • Development and evaluation of decision support methods
    • Available to supervise graduate and undergraduate students interested in pursuing projects related to men's health issues and prostate cancer
  • Current responsibilities at The Prostate Centre include conducting research and directing development and provision of educational resource services to men with prostate cancer and their families. These services include: patient education at the time of diagnosis to facilitate treatment decision making, sexual rehabilitation services to men pre/post radical prostatectomy, and nutritional services.
