Snow Closures

"The University will remain open during snow storms but may cancel or reschedule classes on a university-wide basis and/or curtail non-essential services in response to conditions." Policy #68: Disruption Of Classes/Services By Snow - UBC Policies If this occurs, the decision is made as early as possible (normally by 6:00 am):

In the event of significant snowstorms, the University President (or designate) makes the decision about university closure.

Faculty, staff and students learn of the decision by:

1. going to the UBC website www.ubc.ca
2. going to the School of Nursing website www.nursing.ubc.ca
3. calling the School of Nursing snow line (604-822-7442)
4. listening to CBC, CKWX, CKNW radio stations or television news
